It is one of the most preferred exercises and for good reasons. At any given day, everyone is encouraged to exercise and sweat it out. Not everyone has the time to do it because other things take priority but walking? It is easy to do. You can be as busy as you want to be and still have enough time to do a quick walk, which is always better than being sedentary all day.
If you haven’t been walking as much and want to start getting healthy and fit, these are the reasons why it is considered the best and one of the most effective:

It sure is. One can do it without changing into workout gear. It can be done while heading to work or doing errands. In short, no fuss.
It is free
Who needs an expensive gym membership when you can head out and walk a mile or two for free? Take advantage of the early morning light or evening warmth. Take a walk in the park and bond with your pet.
It is effective
Extreme exercise and gym sessions are effective and so is walking, minus the pressure. It is enough exercise for a day especially when you have done a long one. The good thing about it is you can alternate between a jog and a walk. Brisk walking is a great option, too.
It can be done anytime
Choose any time of the day and do it — no need to worry about a gym not being open because anywhere is good enough. You know it. I know it. We know it. Everybody knows it.
There are so many good reasons to walk and not enough excuses not to. Go ahead and walk as far as you can and sweat it out. Taking care of your health and staying active does not have to be hard or complicated. It can be as easy as walking.
